Received via the website contact form:

I worked as a heavy equipment operator from the mid 1960s to early 1980s mostly in the downtown and Georgetown areas and have a number of brewery (Washington, D.C., Capitol, and Budweiser), Shinn, soda (medicine, Coca Cola, and Pepsi), and milk bottles. Since no one in our family is interested, we're wanting to get them to a club that would preserve history for future generations. We'll be in the D.C. and MD area towards the third week of October and would be interested in meeting with a member or members with the intent of selling the bottles.

This could be a great opportunity to get a whole DC collection (Woody mentioned in a subsequent email they have approximately 6 boxes), or perhaps just specific bottles of interest. I don't think he has a list, so you may need to arrange to meet with them while they are in town next month.

Feel free to contact them directly at the email address in the above post.

That's great Mike. Was the Shinn pontiled? If you want to part with the dead stuck let me know. See you at the meeting.

None of the bottles were pontiled.
I'll bring the dead stuck bottle to the meeting. It's got an embossed bug with a pin stuck in it.

No problem with the Dusch.
As for the Shinn... it's identical to a bottle I already have, but I noticed that the one I already have has a tiny bubble burst. So I'm thinking I'm gonna tumble the Shinn and keep whichever one looks better.

Mike,

Sounds like you got a good deal! I'd like to take a look at the Washington Brewery ones, and I'll FINALLY bring you the clear script ABC we discussed over the summer (hope you still need it! ;o). Looking forward to seeing everyone and all the summer's finds!
